My daughter was recently in need of a bigger dresser. However, we didn't want to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a new one. So, why not give an old dresser a fresh makeover at a fraction of the cost?
We started looking at local consignment stores and found a nice, sturdy 6 drawer dresser for only $20!!! It was a light wood color with metal knobs and handles. Not something that flows with the rest of the furniture in her room.
My husband got to work sanding the dresser and then painting it. He used a slightly off white color that matches her nightstand and desk. Since the accent colors in her room are blue, pink, and green, he also spray painted the handles to match.
Voila!!! A new makeover on an old item.

I love a relaxing bubble bath. Dim the lights, grab a book, and enjoy. Who knew there were so many different bathtubs?!
I love the look of the cozy bathtubs. I would love a bubble bath by a fireplace on a cold night. Follow my Wash Behind Me board for more bathtubs that I like. So, now I have to ask...

Front doors can add that little extra oomph to the appearance of your house. I love driving through neighborhoods to see all the different styles of doors.
Molding Around Doors:
My favorite is the molding around the doors. It makes the door seem even bigger. Follow my Walk Through Me board to see what I prefer in a front door. So, now I have to ask...

Happy Fourth of July!!!
Today is the day we celebrate America's independence. It's also a time for many people to get together with family and friends and have some fun. Here are some different ways to celebrate.
Go to the lake
Have a picnic
Enjoy a parade
Grill some yummy food
Speaking of food, today is the perfect day to enjoy some great American dishes.
Grilled corn on the cob
Of course, you can't forget dessert!
A patriotic cake
Finally, you have to take in a great fireworks show!!!
Whatever you decide to do or decide to eat, take a moment and reflect on the freedom we have in this country. I would not want to live anywhere else!
